hey guys so guess what. im so freaken irritated right now...

the colombo embassy emailed my husband asking to provide an explanation to why it took me a while to sponser him and to show evidence on how i will support him when he comes to canada!!! ughhh!!!

Hey mel,
My wife visited embasy today and they told her that application is still in same status as 2 months ago (of course we can see that on web you stupid receptionist). They dont have any ETA.
So i lost my hope now. Not sure how many more months we have to wait like this.

How long it took for you to sponser him? When did you gut started relationship over phone, in person or whatever way it was...?
I am just trying to compare yours with my situation.
My wife and I started to talk in 2009 and married in 2010. So I had 13 months gap between relationship started date and application filed date. Not sure if it is too long.

Shiff, don't freak out.. I'm at the hospital with my dada right now, but will give u a proper response as soon as I get home. For now start building ur case. Have it in point form. Explain the situation with the baby.. Don't worry

watnext- actually my husband I have been almost married for few yrs now, and they are asking and explanation to why it took me so long to sponser him. so i dont think that it will be a problem for u, but keep ur heads up since they might ask you ALL about how u will financially take care of ur spouse once she arrives.

guys this is so frustrating.

Gayan had issue something this and then he got visa last week or so. So dont worry.
Have you ever send him money? I send them the copy of money trasfer bill. If you have something like that you can attach with your letter. I think you employment letter could help to resolve this issue as well.

I guess so. I attached my pay slip when I send my application. That proves I have income and can support my partner. What I heard is, income is not matter to sponser partner. It is only matter to sponser other family member such as parents and siblings.

well they are asking to prove evidence on how i will support him. its becuase when i started the sponsorship i didnt have a job, now that i do, i think they want make sure???

I think so too. Would it be possible for you get employment letter from your employer? I think that is also important.
