Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Can anyone please tell me how can I check my application process updates?

I was wondering how long does it usually take for Colombo to process the file. I applied 2017 Jan and file transferred in april.... but haven't heard anything ....

Are you got aor (Aknolodge of receipt) ? If yes you have file number and your uci number.
Just linked your application to online using gc key.
And you can check your application progress using ecas check link is below
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

what about your medical it's upfront or still waiting for medical request .

Now I checked my ecas it's saying

Application is received on November 17th
Started processing on January 16th
medical results have been received...

I didn't try with Gckey


May I know What is the different between gckey & ecas?

The cic conduct with you via gc key first yiu want create your own gc key account use below link to create your own gc key account
Then you can able to sign in and link your account to gc key using your uci number

Medical and sch a form pcc is not upfront .
Visa office request when they are want med and sch a , pcc

Hi Guys i received a passport request this week Tuesday and got my passport back today... I am so happy to inform you guys after a long long wait i have got my passport with Canada visa.

I wish you all for the best and gud luck for all member who are waiting to join with their beloved spouse...

I sent my application to sponsor my wife in November 2016, background check still shows 'in process' it hasnt started still. anyone on the sameprocess? few days ago , it shows they're reviewing the additional documents we provided. but we were never asked for additional documents. everything we sent with the application form.

Congratulations.... what is your timeline ?how long did Colombo take to do background check ?

Did your background check line change ? I have noticed that for some people on this forum the background check keeps saying that " the file is in process and next step is to conduct background check" even after decision made. How was it for u? My application is in Srilanka visa office since April but background check line on mycic keeps saying " the file is in process and next step is to conduct background check". I am hoping they started it
