Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Im a february 2012 spouse applicant.Still im not able to view my status in online coz i didnt get any file no.from the colombo canadian embassy

I still didnt receive my file no.from de embassy.I jst dunno what is going on wit my application and my medical is gonna expire on jan 10,2013

my husband got a mail from them on may 30th,2012 with one application no.we tried to see our online status using tat no.but we coudnt see..so 2days bk my husband called cpc to say tat we r unable to view our status in online.they hv told him tat ur wife wil b getting a file no.from the colombo embassy with tat she can view her status.But still i didnt receive it

Dont worry. I sponsored my wife in February 2012 as well. Your husband should have received a letter or email confirming the approval of his sponsorship. Otherwise he should be able to log in with the Unique client ID they will send to him. He should put his details in the system and it will show up the status i believe.

I am super annoyed....my husband got the request submit his passport for the visa. gave him 14 days to pack up and come here. we wrote an email saying he is out of the country for work and not back till dec 13. they ignored our email. i am going to assume his med is going to expire so they pushed it out. we are sending an email requesting for extension. we may not get it and we have to go through whole process. what is the standard time they give to leave the country. feels like a shit show there. i how do they expect to leave a job less than 12 days. who reviews these files?

when did you submit your application ? When did they gave visa for your husband ? What they told you about the extension of the visa ?

Me too having the same problem.I am a srilankan and my husband is a canadian.We submitted our application in feb 2012 and my husband got a email with the application no.starting with F......we tried to log in using that applic...no.but still we are unable to view our status.Meanwhile in july i got a call from colombo embassy regarding my aunts and uncles DOB.After that i didnt receive any call from them n not able to view our status in online and i didnt get any file no.from the embassy too

Thats in a way very good news that you hubby got his visa. My wife is a Feb applicant too, however, her Meds only Expire in January. Hopefully they will give you an extension.

Could you please tell me your timeline. Our application was received in Feb 2, 2012 and was sent to the colombo office on May 8. We received a letter on May 16 for additional information on communication and other stuff. Since than we havnt heard anything. Could you please give some details to when did your stuff go through?
