Guys! i was too busy to update that my ecas status changed to "in process" on Monday this week that they started processing the application on friday, that was the day they emailed and also mailed the medical forms.
sorry for the late reply. if you email; make sure to add urgent and the reason for your email in the subject header. if you post a letter, you must write urgent. details are on their web.

Guys my husband has to wait until monday to do his medicals...the smart embassy workers sent the medical forms and didnt send his passport...so he went to the embassy and asked on wednesday...and the security said they'll call him on thursday, which they never did. so we sent an email on thursday asking for the passport, so on friday they promptly replied to the email to come on monday after 8.30 to come pick it up...and i hope my husband can do it on monday itself....so they actually see our mails, they just choose not to reply to our inquiries
Daisy and Canadianparrot, i cant wait for you guys to get the visa!!! more than 20 day already!!! it'll b nice if you guys could get it in 4 or 5 weeks like some ppl! and after u guys get it....frust and i will start counting the days from the day you guys get
yes i am counting the days.. but i heard asiri hospital does take 3 months.. but sum1 i know got their medical sent to the embassy within 4 weeks.. and the med was done at asiri.. so i guess its different for every1

my husband just went to the embassy to give some additional info they wanted (questions 8 and 12 of schedule A) and to collect the passport they earlier asked to look at. A girl in front of him in the line who was there to give her passport for the visa had done her medicals on the 2nd of October and had gotten the letter to submit the passport last week!!! just 2 weeks! so it doesn't go to Singapore?!
ohhh wowwww.. only 2 weeks :S wowww.. but i heard asiri hospital takes the longest time than other places.. but im not sure if thts true.. we'll see how things wrk out
Don't be bothered much about medical coz it depends as we all think. There are 5 designated panel physicians available in Sri Lanka and all of them are coming to Asiri except Dr. Sarath Rohan Paranavitane from Nugegoda. Most probably, all are going to Asiri for the medical test as it is easy to access and it's convenience. The Doctor who channeled me said to call the hospital after 2 weeks to make sure that my medical report was couriered. At the same time, my wife had a word with the MP's office to get the update. The MPz assistant gave her the update that the re medical forms are on the way and the visa office started the security check up. So, they still have check ups even after re-medical and it might take time like 3 weeks to 3 months.
