They may send the original back to you. I am not too sure. My husband is planning on taking both original and a copy; which ever they want to take ; they can go ahead so. I am just trying to understand why they would ask for sihala/tamil version .
Yeah, i didnt get an AOR from Colombo VO either. And my status has been the same as yours for the past four months. I think from what i've seen from previous applicants, it pretty much stays like until the very end of the process after which it might say "in process" or straight to "decision made."

When you sign into ecas with the applicant's File number, do u see ur Sri Lankan address? When i sign in with my husband's File number, now I see his Sri Lankan address. I dont remember seeing this before, or am i imagining it?

Wotz up guyz? Any updates from ur ends? Processing time for step 2's gone up again, init? SUX my medical expires next month as well, but ain't no reply from CMB HC yet. Hopeless...
we just gotta hope that we'll b luck enough to get it in 8 months or so i cant imagine the idea of waiting for 13 months
my husband went to the embassy today, she had said that they received our documents only in April, and my husband had said, that it cant b...then she had said march.
but wen i call CIC they tell me the file was transferred on Feb 2nd and my husband submitted the police report on Feb 28th....i dont know what to make of all this...i wish i knew how to wait patiently
CIC is claiming to promote family unity but it seems they are actually forcing them apart during very long processing period. As a human there is so much we can tolerate but waiting for the unknown is depressing :'( Seems like they love their applicants to get frustrated as hell
yes! no other country has such ridiculous processing times!!!
i dont mind their conditional PR that they are talking about, as long as that will have less processing times...but i doubt if their slow processing practices will ever change
Im new to this thread.. i have read everyone's stories and seem to be worried about my own case..
I have sent in my application Dec 19th and got approval letter january 19. My file was transferred over to the embassy in February and my husband got an email on april 18th asking for our wedding pictures because it was misplaced. I travelled back to sri lanka in April and stayed there until june 9th. I went to the embassy with him twice and they said they only received my file in March and we have to wait 6-8 months.. im still waiting.. i wish everyone best of luck and will pray for everyone!!
Welcome to the forum daisy. Its nice to see more ppl. U and i have the same approval date! U mean, they lost your wedding pictures that u submitted?! Do u know wat date ur file was transferred to SL? Wen i called CIC, they told it was transferred on feb 2nd. How about u?
i dont know if they lost the pictures but they said it was not included in the application and to resend it.. we sent it in right away.. yes my application was transferred on feb 5th :O.. very close.. going to the embassy is useless because all they say is 6-8 months.. we just have to wait for their phone call my uncle who sponsored his wife back in 2003 took forever.. it took them 7 yrs to get their visa.. they finally have a baby now.. so many peoples lives are screwed cuz of this processing time
