Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Hi,

Experts pls help in this. I want to know when I will be able to get my visa. I have been sponsored by my wife.
She has send PR doc during dec 2010
They received the application 8th Jan 2011
Application started to process from 11th Feb 2011
They received the medical during end of feb 2011
My medical expired 21st Sep 2011

is ur case is straight forward case example no previous marriage,if no back ground check etc.... then u should get the visa be4 ur meds expiry....good luck.........god bless

Yes, as rathika said, you should get visa soon. If i were you, i will check with embassy by visiting there or get MP help to find out the status. Actually i did that and my wife got visa before med expires (last month). Good luck thoola.

Hahahaha...rathika...we all wish to be 18s....but no stuides. I hate exams, assignments and projects... had enough pain when i was in uni.

vallawa - You and I have similar timelines!! only my meds already expired So maybe you will have better luck.

hope all is good guys. no updates on my end. So still waiting very patiently. the only good thing is, hubby is here so that makes life a bit easer hopefully we will get it by x'mas. if so, that would be the best x'mas gift in the world!

thx mel...hmmm...it doesnt matter monntreal or toronto they issue visa b4 med expires know??bt i made a mistake....its been 8 months since i sponsored bt still i have 2 more months to expire my med...my hus should have gone for med earlier than that ...

I'm so dissapointed...couldn't do my duties properly...just came from Halifax...hubby went to the visa office Colombo...answer was file has been forwarded to other officer...who knows how long will it take them for a decision...T7 what about you??? friends ,please tell me a word based on your visa experience to make my mind...still I'm crying...have a good weekend for all...
