Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

I emailed them but they said Immigration section in embassy is closed. They provide essential services only for Canadians.. They don't know when they will resume other services.

I asked them if they were still remain emergency services only. They said yes and they can not provide a specific date when their immigration section will be open. I have been keep sending email to them last 3 months but I got same answer every time.

Yes, we applied February 2019 and are still waiting for a final decision.

Yeah many times. Until February they kept saying our file is in queue to be reviewed by an officer. Since March they have been saying due to Covid-19 they are only providing emergency services and not currently able to process permanent residence applications.

They posted no but an MP can't do anything unless pricessing times are much longer than average in the country. Due to covid there are lots of delays.

Yes we did. MP has been giving the same update that admissibility and eligibility is still in progress. GCMS notes, visa office and MP office have been giving this update only. This has been in progress since last year.
