Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

hi sharmi, i have a friend who sponsored her hubby, and he got a "background check". she told me that just for the background check it took 8months, hope that doesn't happen in ur case.

We have few ppl who's med expires this month. Will see if they get any good news. If not then, i wouldnt expect anything for me for next few months.

How long did it take you to get the reply from the High Commisions in Sri Lanka?

my hubby went to the embassy today, and they said his file is being reviewed by the officer , lets hope the officer issue's the visa!!!! pray for me guys!

Sure, I will do it Shif. Hope you will get it before you med expires. We have just one more day left for the week. We dont see Dhana and Blueprint here. Not sure if they get good news.

hi T7..it took me jus 4 days first time..2nd time it took me 2 weeks...hmmm im happy that i always get reply...i know many never get reply...hmm

Yes. Sharmi. You must be very fortunate to get a reply. A lot of us never got one. Is there acway of writing to them?

watnext i think dana applied a week before me, hmm i hope he got the visa.

t7, I applied In mid September, and my hubby's meds expire on Aug 9th. lets hope we atleast get it before that!

ohh i'm back!!! no news on my end. passport is still with the embassy and they havent given it back, so no real improvement. i will keep everyone updated. glad to know everyone is still hanging on.

Thanks for the info Shif. You have 3-4 weeks for your meds to expires. That time frame is sufficient to get a response from the embassy. Wish you all the best.
