Hi, Im Anne. My husband is in Canada and he sent our spouse visa application on March 16th and we receieved the AOR on april 20th. Any updates on how long do we have to wait for medical request? Normally how long will it take for us to get visa if all the documents are in order.

Good Sign. Ircc send back to Local Visa Office and then they will send a Medical Request. Its all process times to be nearly two months, sometimes they will make quick decision . If necessary they will ask additional documents. Kindly check your GC Key Account and Ecas too. God bless you.

it's not a medical you need to give your fingerprints

@shivsan , how long did you wait to get your passport and COPR back after stamping? WHen I asked the VFS they said it will take 3-5 business days.

yes 3 to 5 working days you will get a sms to your mobile number when they forward to Local visa office( High Commission ) to VFS global , If you are in Colombo Residency go and ask directly.

I had ordered GCMS notes and it appears no one has reviewed our file since its transfer to Colombo in November. We are 50 days away from completing a year since we applied.

Is this normal? I mean they have had the file for 6 months and no work done whatsoever - crazy

Why don't you send a web form to Colombo VO and ask why it's taking so long? Also, go meet you area MP in Canada and discuss the matter with him. Then MP will contact IRCC on this matter.

Contacting MP and web form will work only after exceeding the 12 month time frame I guess.

My MP sent an inquiry and they said all was progressing well but there is really no progress. I wrote to Colombo high commission and they said they wont respond to any update requests until 12 months are over.

Yes medicals were done in December.

If you are in Canada you can order notes using Atip website, if outside then you need a third party website. All the imp links in my signature
