Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Waiting game will be over soon Ajarupan. My friend who filed his case on September 6th got his wife in canada already. You will get it soon. Check it next monday and u will be saying a happy news to us.

I received a letter 1 week back. Saying my husband not eligible to enter Canada because of Tsunami. He applied for permanent resident in Canada, but before he got refused. He never mentioned me to mark on the Sponsor application, but now it created more problem. Now they are asking for the prove to write a proper letter. Plus have to show my income letter. With this info they will make a decision. I don't know what hell going to happen. By December 20th we have to send everything. My husband send everything today. God hope everything will go well. We are in big headache till we receive a decision from the Colombo visa officer. Everything in GODs hand

Hey Ajarupan,

Sorry to hear that but I don't think it can effect big time for you though. He was declined for different reason before and now they may suspect how true you guys are in relationship. It's all about convince the visa officer. Send AS MANY DOCUMENTS as possible to prove your relationship. If you have a wedding in Sri Lanka, letter from Temple/church or what ever, from the high level people ( GS, JP and whatever u can). Do u have a full time job here?

Hope things are straighten up for you and you will tell us a good news for the X-mas

p.s my wedding photo's everything was sent in start. I have sent more than 50 photo's attached. My marriage is genuine to prove. All my face to face skype conversation was printed.

In my case, i am just a newbie, i just applied in November but I wont mind if my ecas says "in process " today

I got married in July. It took us 3 months

I showed 22000 $ but that is a part time job. that's y i was worried but i dont think it is gonna be a big deal though. How's everything, and man people are getting visas in crazy period of time.

Haha I wish, I sent application on NOVEMBER 4th

that's for my friend, she got her status changed on November 13th and hasn't get the results yet.
