My wife got the VISA today (29th Nov Thursday).. She said around, 4 ladies and a guy picked up the visa today. 2 of them got it in less than one yr waiting, other two did the re-medical, last one had re-medical and the interview.
After the sponsor approval, we heard nothing from Colombo VO office for 5 moths. So, I e-mailed them, no response. Got panic and asked my local conservative MP. he inquired on Nov 8th, no response. he did it again next week, then got the reply from Colombo VO on Nov 23 that "We expect the processing to be completed within the course of next month", but they called on 28th nov (Wednesday 9am) and asked to submit the passport around 8-8.30 am on weekdays other than Friday. So, my wife went today and submitted and got the VISA at 3.30 pm. Hope, they will finish off lot of applications before Christmas . I know, how we all are passing these days.. We got a letter from the local police saying that it was a database error, that something that should have removed his record from the criminal record did not automatically do it, when they removed it from their computer.
and they checked his history now and its clear now...we submited this to the embassy yesterday by email, we'll see if they are satisfied or want more...anyways, we are applying for a new police certificate from UK, and give it to them anyway...but i really hope they giv the visa without the certificate.
congrats to those who got there visa....wish you all get great news soon..hang in there guys all will hear great news soon...i am leaving today to be with hubby so excited....can't wait to leave.... 10hrs i will be flying...all you have great christmas and newyear...keep the forum going...tc god bless all
