No I haven't received any letter, the cic call centre said the permit has been mailed.
As soon as we receive it in mail we are good to renew SIN and start working again!
It usually takes about a week once they mail it.. so hopefully by the 7th!

Can I leave Canada while waiting for my restoration application for WP? I applied on 12 Dec 2013 and still on waiting period. Very stressful and thinking about going back to my own country to work until my WP is approved. Is it possible or if I leave Canada, my application will be canceled? Please anyone know the answer, let me know...
Hi everyone i just got my online notification that my application has been approved although my application was for a study and off campus work permit restoration
my dates are
Applied December 8
Sent to restoration department January 9 and approved January 28

i applied to restore my study permit on November 1st and it was sent to the restoration department on January 7th. I called the CIC of to enquire about my visa approval but they told me it takes up to 16 weeks. I'm so frustrated because its almost 3 months and i still haven't heard anything. Is there anyone who is on my time line or is still waiting for their application to be restored? Please tell me i'm not alone ....

my question is:
if the restoration processing time is up to 4 months, which is greater than the 90 days within which I have to leave Canada ... am I allowed to stay beyond the 90 days waiting for the restoration decision?

Yes you are allowed to stay until a decision is made on your restoration application even if it is longer than 90 days.. Hopefully you'll have it restored sooner ! Good luck
