Seems like the strike has completely crippled progress on the restoration dept. No news and no restorations heard. Our wait continues..

today i called call center they told me to wait one more month. till end of august or first week of September. what to do now. keep waiting............

Canary , congrats for the WP. When did u send ur WP application ? And is it on line or paper ? And when the ur application has transferred to the restoration department ?

Hey guys, I've followed this post for a bit. I applied for restoration of my status on March 22nd. My work permit expired, but I've been waiting for my CEC app to be completed. I've been stressed out cus I've been out of status, but I just got my approval letter today so my status has been restored. I asked for my status to be changed to visitors. I know the process is long and very frustrating, but be patient and hopefully it'll work out for y'all. 4.5 months, pheewww. Good luck.

Thanks a lot Wattach. I called cic today, they said my file has been approved on July 31. O God what a relieve! now waiting for monday. Thanks God. best wishes for all who are still waiting.
