Processing time for ICT work permit

Like you said, they simply replied to check on the portal and I tried to send them PCC, they didn't even care to check them. No word in response uttered that they looked what I tried to write.

They are working at partial capacity and the economy is going to go through a recession so it makes sense that job and ICT approval/refusals have slowed.

Hi Folks,

I just found this thread. Posting on behalf of my wife.

Her company filed for her work permit under Global Skills Strategy (GSS) (2-weeks processing) Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)-exempt and ICT. My wife's an auditor so I'm assuming they have filed under NOC 1111. She already had valid biometrics so she just had to complete up-front medical and police certificates while submitting docs to her employer's Law firm. They filed for her permit on March 11 (sent IRCC submission letter for the same).

Now pretty much because of COVID19 there has been no update on her application after 1 month when her lawyer checked the status of the application it was 'medical passed' on March 11 (same day they submitted the application).

I am wondering how much more time it would take approximately as we want to travel back to Canada as soon we can now that foreign workers can travel.

Any advice?

An update I would like to share is :
Received Biometrics validity of 10 years mail today (4 hours before this post).

Nothing much changed in life.

Note: Due to COVID, All travels banned. My client reduced billing and my travel in jeopardized. I am not sure I can travel even if I get visa

What kind of visa? If you want to apply for a work permit, you need to get a job offer and approved LMIA from an employer in Canada first.

I'm right behind you with 28 weeks. I sent web requests too, they simply ignored all the mail and said to "Wait", what a fun.

IRCC is saying that they are processing only applications which have essential JOb duties ( like Health care, etc)
And did not give any date when normal processing will start
Please advise if someone receives any other updates
