Hi all,
I applied for a work permit from USA. It was filed pursuant to an approved LMIA under the Global Talent Stream. I have done my biometric on July. Can anyone tell me when can I expect some result?
I'm in the same situation. LMIA got approved and work permit got filed on Oct 12th. Biometrics got done the next day. Waiting to hear. Do you know whats the current processing time for GTS?

A little background, i have got a job offer from a reputed company( have given many interviews and had a talk with people working there) and yeaterday have recieved an LMIA under gts category. I am applying from India
My question is:-
1. Can I use this gts category LMIA for my PR application to get 50 points?
2. Also what are my options now using this LMIA.?
3. Will my application be processed within 2 weeks?
4. After creating application for work permit when will i be recieve BIL.

1) lmia is usually valid for 6 months (it was extended to 9 months due to covid but i dont think it applies any more).
if the approved lmia is for dual intent category ( WP + PR) then you can claim the points, provided you have enough points for a direct ITA.
Also keep in mind that when you submit your PR application LMIA should still be valid.

Thank you for the reply.
But how will i get to know if my lmia is dual intent or not. Will it be mentioned on the lmia? Coz currently it says gts category
Hi
@Raghav54321
1. Is your GTS LMIA based WP approved now?
If yes, could you mention the timeline?
2. Also, could you mention the timeline for LMIA approval also ?
3. Were you able to use this LMIA in your PR application for getting those extra points ?
Thanks
