I also applied in 2014 and finally got the same email for interview in Abu Dhabi. My interview was on 9th Feb and in the end the interviewer said the same thing that he was going to approve my visa. But, since then I did not get any email or acknowledgement and now I am a bit worried. Tell me about you, did you get any update?
Well in my case, after the interview, the officer instantly sent me an email for my medicals. You should contact your visa office, if you haven't received an email for your medical yet.
The officer instantly tells you whether you are successful in the interview or not. After that, within a week, they'll send you information for your medicals. PPR is issued only after successful medicals.
After that, you just wait for the Passport Request Letter (PPR). As you can see from my timeline, I waited for more than 4 months for my PPR. But I have seen candidates who are given PPR after only a month from medical.
Yes I know at least one person failing the interview on the basis of inadequate answers given. Actually, when you lose your confidence during the interview, you fail it.
Just wanted to know a bit more regarding the interview.
I wanted to know if anyone from India, also applied from India, under Federal Skill Worker category has had an interview call for their application?
More specifically from Mumbai.
Please let me know. It would be good to know your experience.

Read backwards on this thread to identify those who shared their interview experience. You will find some good information, even from other Visa offices.

me and my wife immigrated from Pakistan almost 8 years ago to Toronto and now are in Winnipeg, she being a seasoned recruiter has loads of experience is helping people finding jobs and have been getting a lot of personal messages lately from other 'soon to be immigrants' and have now developed a Facebook page to help them, she recently recorded a video about Canadian job market from an outsiders perspective; and have another session this Saturday for resume writing.
As we went through this forum zillion times to find answers for us, I thought this it the best possible way propagate this. Feel free to join in the live session. there is no cost. We just want to help people looking to move to Canada OR who have already moved and going thorough that social anxiety that we all face.
we have tried to boost this post in Pakistan and India but to less effect because the demographics are so widely spread. Feel free to share this link with anyone you think can benefit.
