hi friends,

I have received mail for medical test for PR visa for self and wife, My wife is pregnant and we are expecting child in next three weeks,

Should we go for medical now or should we delay the same till the child birth? Please advice....

How much this can delay the overall visa process?

Thanks in advance for the valuable advice.....

Inform your visa office about this situation using the address mentioned in your PER or AOR or MR email.

Congrats in advance, this should be no issue. If you dont want your wife to do the xray scan now, Other family members can go ahead with their medicals and submit to your visa office. But you will write a cover letter stating the reason n request for an extension for your wife for like a week or so.

Alternatively, you can send a case specific enquiry through CIC website to your visa office asking for an extension by a week or two to allow your wife deliver.

But you must bear in mind that your proof of fund must increase to accommodate the new baby, you will also pay 150cad application fee and you must process an international passport for baby n submit to your visa office.

Hi,

Does it mean that original applicants visa issuance is delayed?

Is it not possible that medical goes ahead with applicant, while for wife its done at later stage, especially when wife may not be accompanying initially to Canada and intends to join later (4/5 months post delivary).

Regards,
Bruha
