How long it takes to process the pre-test RQ in Montreal. I heard people giving different timelines. Some people say it will take a year from the date of submitting the RQ to Montreal's CIC office. Other people say that it could take at least 2-3 years from the date you submit the RQ. This is very confusing. Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

The one in December was a notification to prepare, I suspect to let you know that the test is coming and you must study the booklet, the second one is the actual notification with date, time and place for the test...so yes, you get two notifications
I sent any document that proved that I have lived in Canada for the last four years, tax returns, copy of the lease, I volunteer teaching English so I got a letter from the NGO, school transcripts, reference letters from people who know me, I requested from the MSSS a report on all the medical services I have received here in Quebec, copy of my medical records from the local clinic, old bank statements. I suspect the reason for the RQ was that I travelled four times in 2011 but I was outside of Canada only five weeks. Sometimes you have to be creative and send any document that proves that you have ties to Canada and you live here permanently
I am little bit lost sorry to ask again just not taking much of your time can you tell your RQ submission date with year and month and the next response back date from CIC again if you can put date month year
