So ive been working on as a Research Assistant at a lab in Waterloo, ON for 6 months now and I want to apply under OPNP. I am wondering if anyone have applied the pre-screen or ask the professor to apply for the pre-screen under OPNP ? I know it is a lab of a university so I am not sure how would it work ? If anyone has done this and successful, please let me know. It would be much appreciated
Can anyone help me with this question? Also, for the pre-screen, do you have to apply right when you get hired or is it still ok for you to apply as long as you still work under the contract ?
You need Permanent Full time job to apply for Pre Screening.
Pre Screening will take 4 months of time to reply.

From Ontario Immigration site, Please do confirm by calling them :
In order to qualify for Opportunities Ontario, job offers must be permanent and full-time. Getting a first job after graduation is not an easy task and many students will not receive permanent full-time job offers right out of school. Given this reality for students, Opportunities Ontario will also consider one-year renewable contracts on a case-by-case basis.
I already read that and really appreciate that you helped yet my work place is a research lab within a university so the pre-screen form would be different . I am just wondering if anyone here have been in the same situation and also applied for pre-screen
Someone has asked a similar question on their OPNP facebook page.

Is my professor eligible for pre-screen ? I read the eligibility for employee and the university as a whole is meeting the requirements but Im not too sure about one specific lab within the university ? Can you please give me further information regarding this situation ? Thank you

The company which will be the university you work for will have to apply for you as a hole and needs to meet the requirements. The signing officer of the university will have to sign the pre-screen application. If they get approved for the position then you can submit your nominee application.
