Hi, did you register for a pre-arrival program funded by IRCC? It is a great chance to prepare for your new life in Canada while waiting for the approval of your PR application. SOPA: Settlement Online Pre-Arrival is one of the programs funded by IRCC. For registration go to
https://arriveprepared.ca/ or email
sopa@alteredminds.ca if you will settle in Manitoba.
Settlement Online Pre-Arrival (SOPA) is a program for people who live outside of Canada and have received approval from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to immigrate to Canada. Resources and courses are offered at no charge and include one-on-one orientation, job search support, and workplace culture training, and referral to a wide range of post-arrival services upon entry to Canada.
SOPA is offered across Canada, thus; is a province-specific pre-arrival program (but is not offered in Quebec).
