My husband has been in Canada 3 months as a PR.
He works from home, for an American company 3000km away.
We own a house in New York, and rent it out. And....
We rent a house here to live in.
He has an office at both houses Incase there is an issue with where his work location is.
I have searched the internet up and down.... I need taxation information.
I don’t work.... so we make no Canadian income. We make american income from our house, and American income from his job......
We have an office in New York, job in Wyoming, renting out the house in New York, renting an apartment in Ontario and Live in Ontario.
Is there any internet sites to go to??
We want to get an accountant next year, but we only have 2 months of living in Ontario and 10 months living in New York this year, and want to try to do both forms with turbo tax. That’s the way we did it last year in the USA for the full year.

You can live in Canada but don’t believe working remotely from Canada while on your L1A is possible. You’ll need to speak to your employer but working for your US employer on contract may be possible. Based on your previous posts you may have transferred to the US by your employer from Canada using an L1A.

Thank you for the quick response. My point was, I live in Canada, but for work I will be traveling to USA when needed. Since L1A is international manager, I thought that makes any problem legally. It’s like every other who is working in uSa and living in canada on residency.

Most are not working on L1A. The L1A was granted for international transfer of senior execs so if you are not living in the US not sure how the employer and you will be able to justify the L1A. You should be getting advice of a lawyer and speak to your employer because many are not comfortable with employees working remotely in Canada.
