PR Renewal During Pandemic

Hi. Do we need to pay biometric fees or only PR renewal fees? I became PR in 2016 and never submitted fingerprints. Applied for citizenship in Feb 2020 and they also did not ask for fingerprints. Thanks

I believe this is only possible once the application is being processed:

"This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not yet begun processing it."

Hi everyone

I’m conveying my experience to renew my PR card via "Urgent path" due to the serious health condition of a family member.

Application sent: 27-08-2021
Application delivered: 30-08-2021
AOR by email: 31-08-2021
Decision made: 08-09-2021
Application approved: waiting
Card mailed: waiting
Card received: waiting

I attached with my application:

- A letter explained the case in detail and mentioned the travel date on Sep 25.
- I also attached the doctor’s reports.
- A copy of the destination country visa, which shows the date of obtaining the visa 24-08-2021.
- Attached the confirmed travel tickets shows the travel date on Sep 25.
- Attached the ticket receipt, a copy of the credit card used for the purchase and a bank statement for the credit card shows the transaction.

Finally and the most important point is writing "VERY URGENT" on the envelope.

This was a summary of my case and I hope to get the card before my travel date.
And I hope nothing bad will happen to your family and loved ones

what does PR renewal application - AOR means.. is that the email, where CIC sends us and mention that they received the application. or is it something else.

I get below status in my PR card status - Does it comes after AOR -

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on October 4, 2021.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on October 4, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on October 4, 2021.

It's been 131 days for me (since they received the application on the 3rd of June) and I still don't have a single message or notification from them. Is this normal?
