My wife is a Principal Applicant and she could not fulfill the PR residency requirement.
But rest of the family could fulfill the requirement.
We all applied together for PR renewal.
Total 4 applications, 1 principal applicant, her spouse + 2 children (age 20 & 18 respectively)
It is more than 5 months; there is no movement in our case.
The status shows ‘In process’.
November 15, our PR will expire.
When called, I was told, your file is under scrutiny.
Spouse and 2 children fulfilled the PR requirement.
Will it affect their renewal?
Can anybody guide to me!!
You should have applied to renew your PR cards separately. Because your wife doesn't meet the residency requirement, your entire family has been delayed. You should ask CIC to separate your renewal and your children's renewal from your wife's, so that the processing of your application won't be delayed by your wife's situation. I don't know if CIC will agree to do this - but you should try. Your wife should withdraw her renewal application and wait until she has enough days before she applies. It's a bad idea to try to renew your PR status without enough days to meet the residency requirement.
Before applying, one of my relative guided that I should file all family together, hence I sent all forms together. How can I contact CIC about this? I know one family where father had less days, but full family applied together. All family members PR renewal came in except for father. I thought my also will happen in the same manner.
