PR is expired. After renouncing, apply for student permit?

My family left Canada in 2012 and our PR cards expired in 2015. We did not renounce the PR yet, but planning to renounce to apply for student permit.


Will my study permit be rejected because I renounced my PR? I am 40 years old btw. Planning to apply for 2nd Masters degree.

Is there anyone with similar experience?

You should be fine provided your planned studies in Canada make sense based on your previous education and work experience. If you plan to take the same Masters that you took previously, that won't make sense and will likely result in a refusal.
