Hi Pullox, Did you applied and got your work permit yet? I am in the same situation and can't find anything on the CIC site that you don't need an LMO if you did you medicals.
My story is a frustrating one but is moving, so in a way I'm lucky. I applied just by using my medical receipts but it was denied. They still asked me for an LMO, which sadly came to my hands 2 days after being denied. I had to reapply paying again $150 in fees and my boss did not care or contributed in any way. So now I have to wait for the new permit, not able to work and at the mercy of my employer.
In any case I feel lucky in a way, could be worse... Good luck with your process bro!
