PR holder with 5 months passport validity

Hi All,
I am inquiring to check if anything has changed recently about Minimum 6 months passport validity rule for entering Canada? I read somewhere - it is required to have at-least 6 months on foreign passport to enter Canada.
My situation is - I have a valid PR card, my passport expires in 4 and half months. Can I enter Canada from India without any issues?

Why not renew the passport (assuming it's indian) while you are in India?

I believe you will be stuck at immigration in India if your passport validity is less than 6 months,

They might not even let you board the plane if you only have 4 months on your passport. I would get it renewed before you even think about travelling back to Canada.

Thank you for your response. I am planning to renew it using Urgent passport renewal process. Before I do that, I was trying to confirm the rule or the process.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I have now decided to renew the passport using urgent renewal method to avoid any issues.
