PR confirmation received! -> How do I make an appointment to process visa?

My partner received her confirmation of PR status yesterday.

As we are currently are in Vancouver, the instructions mention an alternative to re-entering the country to process the visa by making an appointment to see the nearest immigration office by phone. With the contact number, 1-888-242-2100, It doesn't seem that there's an option to do so. Pressing "0" doesn't connect me with a representative in some menus that I've tried.

Anyone know what to press to make an appointment? We were on hold for over an hour then the system hung up on us saying it was too busy and to call back later.

if you attempt to make an appointment, more likely than not you would be waiting months to land. if that's ok with you, that's great. if not, consider driving to the US and flagpole to land in canada. It is a common practice, and you don't have to worry about visas to the us. you simply show up and tell them you want to flagpole to land in canada, and they will turn you around to drive back.

Did the flagpole like you said. Took less than 10 minutes after we got into the immigration office.
