It takes 2 weeks approximately. I still can login with my old one.
So much of being a week and if so, then the agent I talked to lied his ass! HAHAHA. I shall wait until of of the month and try again.

I still strongly believe that IRCC is waiting for 2025 quota to be announced before proceeding with processing eCOPRs

Portal account creation means P1.. not P2..
But they didn't do anything when I called

I'm not sure. From what I understand they only create your portal close to your P2 date.
That's what the agent told me.
My argument to the agent was I am already past 90 days from P1, but they said my portal was created on Oct 30th, which is my P2 date. So I figured its based on P2. So they basically told me to call back on Jan 30th. lol

Relatively good news is that 3000 job cuts by IRCC is not immediate but to be done over the next three years at all levels. A guess it was probably a discussion day at IRCC all day today. That being said, the IRCC ppl probably feel some pressure now since everyone’s job is in limbo. Hopefully they realize they can actually work much more efficiently.

My closed work permit is set to expire at the end of April, and I’m currently waiting for my eCOPR. Can I start applying for a work permit extension now, or do I need to wait? The current processing time for an extension is 146 days, and I have 90 days remaining on my work permit.

Your guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

The numbers for 2025 to 2027 were published last year, in October, when they reduced immigration levels. People have been talking about this quite a lot. IRCC announced nothing today, it isn't on their website. What might you be referring to?

yes that’s right. The PR quota was 485,000 last year in 2024 and reduced to 395,000 in 2025. This is followed by further reductions in the upcoming years. Given these reductions, it is normal to expect cuts in IRCC employment.

at this point, I think the only thing we can do is to create awareness about the backlogs. Please keep posting on twitter, make sure to tag IRCC. It’s crucial to make our voice heard somehow

I am still hoping for a good week. I am P2 october 30 CEC inland. Anyone have any success through reaching out to your MP?

P2 received on 6th Nov 2024
declared my presence in canada and updated photo and address on 7th November 2024
CEC inland.
Even my presence in canada has not been accepted by IRCC yet.
It all gets accepted at the same time.
3 months is what the agents tell those who call ti wait for. As far as I know nothing in law about 3 months. They just say call back after that time.
Best of Luck
