Hi I submitted my portal 2 on Nov 1st and waiting for eCOPR, but my work permit is expiring by Nov 20. Do I need to apply for work permit in mean time?
Medical Emergency - 2 days ago, due to an intense stomach pain I had to go to the ER and discovered that I don't have MSP coverage due to work permit expiring recently (Applied for extension and its in processing). The doctors are advising me to go into surgery immediately as a rupture could be life threatening.
Could I reach out to IRCC to expedite my process? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

I would say there is no need for a new WP, you can take some days off from your job after Nov 20 and once you receive your ECOPR you can get your new SIN no. and return to work although if you want you can apply for Bridge WP while waiting for ECOPR but again it won't be needed if you can take some days off from your job.

yes you can send email to IRCC regarding your concern although I don't think they will do anything as they will just tell you to wait and I am pretty sure you will receive your ECOPR by the end of this month.

It's a good suggestion but however, then the applicant will go out of status and has to restore the status (visitor record in this case). BOWP can only be applied until the current WP is valid. There is absolutely no guarantee when the eCOPR is going to come. Why even take that risk for a few bucks? The reason why BOWP exist is, so that applicants who are already working and keep on to continue working without any issues.

Getting a P2 means they have received all the info from you and verified that everything is correct now all you need to do is wait in a queue until an immigration officer prepare your ecopr and send it to you after your ecopr they will automatically issue your PR Card, you don’t have to do anything for that although in your case you can send them an email if they can expedite the process.
