Congrats! I am really happy for you! And it is also making sense with the data lol that you only waited 6 days between P2 and ecopr since you were a 2024 expiry.
Congrats! I am really happy for you! And it is also making sense with the data lol that you only waited 6 days between P2 and ecopr since you were a 2024 expiry.
Based off my very non scientific data it seems like the queue is a two tier process: People with a sooner expiry get prioritized in the queue but the date the P2 was sent seems to be a secondary filtering factor. I still need more data but this is my non scientific guess based off what data we have lol. I'm an artist by the way and not a scientist.
According to the last trends, you should get it this week or next (12th march I got it 28th March and others of 12th March got it early April). It is actually not taking that long for Montreal
Your ecopr expiry date is based on when you TOOK the medical (not when it was marked as passed in the tracker)
P2 is sent in the order of when they send out P1 (because they do not know your ecopr expiry yet)
You are added to a queue based of your expiry (probably grouped by the month). Then ordered by who filled out P2 first. So all November expiry would be prioritized over December expiry, but people in that group are prioritized by who filled out/received P2 first.
There is probably a further level of complications where some visa officers are just faster than each other which is where the chaos happens.
This is just my guess but the data is looking more and more clear. It seems like we are starting to see January expiries for people who got P2 in January-March.
