Anyone has been waiting for PR card more than 6 weeks? I've been waiting since Sep 22nd. It's been 4 weeks.
Address and photo are still in review with IRCC.
The eCOPR is issued based on the in Canada declaration.
And yes, they have means to verify if you’re really in Canada. Do they do it after we tell them we’re or not? Not sure, but they might. So you’re basically waiting for an officer to go into your portal and accept the declaration and then electronically sign your eCOPR.
And I agree with you, since the only thing they really analyze in the portal is the declaration, it could be an automated process.
It depends. These days it’s taking a while. Mine took 26 days. But there’s people in this forum waiting a lot more unfortunately.
Take a look at their P2 or Portal 2 and you will have an idea
It will be on your GCKey and you’ll only be able to see it if you link the card in there. The only info you need is last name and UCI (there are other options, but this was the only one that worked for me).
Hi everyone,
Can someone please advise me regarding my situation.
I received Portal 1 email from Montreal on July 31st, responded on the same day.
I’m awaiting my portal credentials to upload my photo still.
It’s been more than two months now.
I was supposed to leave to India in September but I’ve had to put off my travel due to this.
My concern is that I declared my presence in Canada in portal 1. But I’ll be required to do the same in portal 2 as well. There’s no way of saying when to expect the email but I will not be able to return within the stipulated time they usually mention.
Since there’s been a long gap between the first email and the anticipated portal 2 email- can I get back and resume the process.
I plan on returning in January due to a family emergency. I’m stuck because it’s a unique situation. Almost everyone after me have got their portal 2 credentials as well as eCOPRs.
I have already replied to the same email, called them, reached out through MP, nothing has worked for me.
Maybe you can just reply to the first email (portal 1 email) and tell them that you'll be leaving the country on this date and be coming back on this date.
I replied that I am in Canada on September 14th, I am still waiting for portal 1 however my dependants back in my country submitted their passports and passport photos and got them back within 3 days. What is the number to call? I made a follow up with the web form last week.
