I am really worried because you mean it take days to review that and have that impact people with legit applications. How do we explain people with P2 in November and even December getting eCOPR and others very slowly for the sake of 7 cases.
I'm not saying that this is the only reason. But they do check one last time before issuing your eCoPR. There's a huge backlog from 2024 applicants who're awaiting their eCoPRs. These 7 cases happened to be caught up in this final review. As long as your documentation is genuine, there's nothing to stress over. Your eCoPR will definitely come!
I just got to know from a very credible source that IRCC has re-opened the eligibility and background of 7 applicants even after they received P2 back in early October. Some even contacted their MPs and they were advised that their paperwork are currently being reviewed on the basis of employment and job duties confirmation. All of their eCoPR document numbers with the expiry date have been removed from their trackers respectively. All had one single common factor, i.e., every 7 of these applicants had positive LMIA for which they claimed 50 points as well!
In my personal opinion, this tend to point towards that they do check and verify even after P2 one last time to make sure that everything is legit and in proper order. Hence, the delay from P2 to eCoPR!
No, there have been many suggestions of scamming, especially along the LMIA lines. I have personally reached out to one of them, they said they are still trying to get it resolved. I think it will be difficult because I think the next step after such an email would be a PFL, that's a difficult spot to be in and they would probably need to hire a lawyer.
You sound like a politician man! "Credible source".
You should post something like this with an actual source! Do you have anything to back your story? Anything other than your words? I haven't heard of anything like this! Please don't spread rumours and panic the room.
Well, the actual source are from real people who has been sharing their issues with snapshots of the communication they had with their MPs and IRCC. You're not seeing the "Great Pyramid Of Giza" right now, so, that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist! Out of hundreds and thousands of applications, I've just seen these 7 in other social platforms. Not spreading any rumors, nor trying to create any panic but staying in denial is not the solution! IRCC indeed verifies everything one last time (especially LMIA at this point) under a microscope before they go ahead and issue the eCoPR.
If genuine, then no problem! But they're just verifying if they're indeed genuine or not. LMIA scams have gotten so worse that they are stopping to give points for it starting spring!
If any money was exchanged for the LMIA then it's illegal. Employers cannot charge foreign worker anything for the LMIA. Many greedy and unscrupulous employers has been charging thousands of dollars for it. Of course it has come to the attention of the government and they inevitably will track down the perps.

I'm all in for the crackdown on fraudsters - but I cant help but feel its coming at the expense of people like us waiting in the line without LMIA without any fraud.
If they're so shortstaffed - would it not be better to get all the non-LMIA folks out of the pipeline and then do all these investigations?

Yes, unfortunately they are short staffed very badly! However, they're just planning to scatter out the eCoPRs in order to comply with the 2025 quota I suppose!

Fingers crossed. IRCC just giving people headache and nightmare. IRCC rescinds even citizenship if they realize that the process leading to PR was false. I was actually happy about the LMIA because it has become a market for those who can afford and it created tons of issues for genuine migrants.

As for the LMIA fraudsters, I am so happy that IRCC is tearing these fraudulent applications down. These scammers have gamed the system for far too long and it's high time they should face the consequences.
