How will we know if PR Photo is approved?

You will get another GU for the PR card application when you get the card approval. Hope you are one of the lucky ones to get the card really quickly for you trip to Mexico. (I have been waiting since ECOPR Apr 18 :/

What's the processing centre processing your PR Card?
I've raised my concern via MP Office and the staff I talked to (similar staff that had my PR approved due to beyond processing times) said she has an appointment with IRCC on Friday (May 19) and will try to tag it as urgent or expedite the process.

Oh that’s amazing to hear! You live in a good riding with an MP that cares. I believe the card processing is done in CPC Sydney.

I hope she can make a good communication with IRCC and probably expedite the process. How do you know about your card processing centre?

Mine was in review even after I got my card in the mail, so I dont think they update it in a timely manner. Timeline varies (as always), it took mine close to 38 days to get an update. I suggest linking the pr card application to your gckey to learn when it was mailed out to you. @jvcaunin hopefully answers your question as well? The GU might be only for linking the application as far as I can recall.

I can't tell whether my pr card photo is approved. How do we know?

GU would be on GCkey, the portal does not give any notification if status changes.

The only ghost update in the gckey was about the approval of the pr application. Is there any other GU for the PR card application or photo.
I have not linked my application to gckey yet !!

I have not linked my application to gckey yet !!

Once you link it, it will have GUs, one for linking (I think) and one for card mailed/approved. Photo approval did not give me a GU.

What if the card doesn’t arrive before you need to leave Mexico?

I can confirm my card was sent from Sydney as well.
