he confirmed the addrs and uploaded photo the next date : June 15 2024
He received eCOPR: June 20 2024
I just linked his PR card application to his GC Key yesterday and today when I checked, i see this:
Lastest update:
Final decision-
July 12, 2024: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
What's that mean?
PS: his PR was approved by VO etobicoke but issued in Edmonton.
Hi, Can someone has a similar case that "PR card was mailed" as of 06/11 and until now it has not yet received. Mailing address is correct.
How long should it take to receive? Its odd that its taking this long in the mail. Thanks!
P1 - June 7th
P2 - June 25th
eCOPR - June 28th

I think this is the step prior to “approval”. You should receive another notification within the next week with your approval that states the card has been mailed.

That’s Ghost Update 1 (GU1), you should receive the next update (GU2) within a week or two (often within a few days) with your final decision & confirmation that your card has been mailed.
Hopefully it arrives in time for your trip! Good luck

Congrats! Question please, when you say the application got approved today, do you mean the PR Card Application or the original PR application?
Asking because I got my CoPR on 26th June and the PR Card application status is still 'Submitted' but my PR application (Sponsorship) has been approved.
Also please keep me posted when you receive your PR card as we share very similar timeline, thanks and good luck!

Thank you! My PR card application was approved, had an update saying final decision July 15th, 2024 yesterday and today it was updated again to say approved.
Sounds good I will post here when the card arrives. I hope you get an update soon
My application for PR says that Final decision - July 12, 2024:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
I called and they said that all the necessary parts are completed and No updates on the tracker from 5th May 2024 so can anyone tell me if they have experienced the same issue and what will be the outcome.?
These are stages your PR card application go through when linked to your IRCC GCKey account.
Most people receive two ghost updates on their account (status changes from submitted to profile updated) before they receive the final email from IRCC stating that their application has been approved /PR card mailed.
GU1: is the first update when the final decision changes to a specific date but states that the application is still in process (this is usually the day your application is finalized)
GU2: is when eligibility review is completed and final decision changes to approved. This is usually the date your card is mailed.
After GU2 you receive an email usually within a day or two saying your application status has been updated and when you log in you can see a message stating the card has been mailed as well as the expiry date (usually 5 years from your approval date).
