PR Card timeline - 2023

Sharing my experience here, as it may help others:

EcoPR: Jul 21
GU1: Nov 2
GU2: did not get one
PR Card: waiting

As many of you here, I was checking the Application Status tracker daily, on the hopes of an update. As of Nov 15, I was getting an error message when trying to log in. I thought it was a problem with the portal, so I waited a day and checked here. Since noboy was saying nothing, I called IRCC and they confirmed that the PR card was sent on Nov 13 and 14 (dependants and mine).
Today I could log in the application status tracker portal and the last update date is still Nov 2. The status still shows as "in Review with IRCC" and I have not received any notification about the card being sent.

I think you are not looking at correct place for GU, those status updated are seen on GCKey portal when you link your PR card application to it - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...es/application/account/link-paper-online.html

Application tracker or portal where you upload photo and address wont give you status of PR card.

No, you will always get update when cards are mailed out, you need to check PR card application linked to GCKey though - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...es/application/account/link-paper-online.html

I am hoping. As other members whi got Gu1 after nov 2 already have their GU2 and i didn’t yet so little worried. Photo and address was accepted by IRCC sane day i received ECOPR. Not sure why the delay though

Strange.. in the status site (https://onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca/mycic/home), the last update I had was in July, when I received the EcoPR.
In the applicaition status tracker there`s an "updated" date in the top of the page - where I am assuming the GU appears.

Also, someone commented in this forum that they did not receive any updates/email and the card just appeared in their mail box.
I am guessing there`s some scenario(s) where the system doesn`t send a notification.

I don`t think they would "forget" to update, but I think it`s possible that in some cases the system doesn`t follows the "happy path" and some events are not triggered.
Try calling then to see if there`s any update.

Hey just making sure im checking it right. Its the same GC key where you can see the application as permanent resident card and when u check status there a date of nov 2 with message we are processing your application. We will send u message once final decision has beeb made. (something like that)

Wanted to share my timeline
ECOPR - 1st Sept 2023
GU1 - 31st Oct 2023 (Application is in progress)
GU2 - 10th Nov 2023 (Card has been mailed)
PR card - 17th Jan 2023 (PR card in mailbox)
