PR Card Renewal Processing Time

hi there,

Has anyone recently applied for a renewal of their PR card? If so, how long did it take to arrive from the time you mailed it?

I’m travelling at the end of the month. IRCC states a 27 day time but I know it may be sooner and want to gage this by others’ experience.

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on April 5, 2019.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 15, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on April 15, 2019.

A decision hasn't been made yet.

My pr renewal timeline:

Mailed my application Aug.4

We received your application for a permanent resident card on August 7, 2019.

We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 13, 2019.

We started processing your application on August 13, 2019.

Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on August 15, 2019.

It takes 8 calendar days

I have a question, I got a the PR from 2016 - Aug to 2021 - Sep.... Can I renew/extend my PR now for the next 5 years(2021 - 2026)?... what is the best time to start the application? .... May I also get the application instruction page URL?
