Hi everyone, here is my renewal timeline:

Permanent Resident Card

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on December 5, 2022.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 20, 2022.
3. We started processing your application on December 20, 2022.
4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on December 22, 2022.

Just waiting to receive the card now.

I send my application on Dec 19
And Dec 22 received email and DM the same day
And then Dec 23 send my PR card by mail . Total 5 days done!

I applied on 7 Octobee after having my PR, still no update. So frustrating. What to do?

Hi, I applied for PR Card Renewal via the online portal on Dec 5, 2022 (did not apply as urgent). I haven't received AOR to date, and I am also unable to check my application status in their client application status tool. Kindly suggest what options I have to expedite this process, as I urgently need to travel outside Canada in early March 2023.

Hi all,

I am renewing my pr card and will be sharing my timeline here, feel free to reply to this post to let me know your timeline if you are also renewing yours recently.

December 30th, 2022 - application package sent via Canada Post.
Jan 4th, 2023 - package received via Canada Post tracking.

Hi,
What is the earliest one can apply for PR renewal ( non urgent cases )? I saw that it has to be 9 months before expiry for paper applications. I still have 1 year 4 months, met my residency obligations, I have an overseas trip coming up and I want to have my PR before I leave ( don't want to spend time on PRTD ) so will the online portal allow me to submit it early or will it be returned? Has anyone tried submitting earlier than the 9 months period?

I submitted online too on 12/16 and received an email for checking status update...my status changed into "returned" for "photos are missing"...anyway, I got something from IRCC...

Hi,

I applied for my PR card renewal application on 29th June'22. The CIC website showed that the "Decision was made" on the 20th of October'22. Since then I have been waiting for the PR Card. Is anyone else in a similar situation?

Is there any way to check why there is a delay? any telephone number?

Please advise..

Sharing my timeline for PR card renewal - paper based. I didn't request any urgent processing.

Dec 09, 2022 - Application sent
Dec 12, 2022 - Application received by IRCC
Jan 05, 2023 - Received AOR email
Jan 06, 2023 - For the first time I was able to find my application in ECAS and link it in GCKey. Status in ECAS - 'Decision made' and in GCKey - 'application is in progress'
Jan 10, 2023 - GCKey status updated - Application is approved and PR card was sent by mail. No update in ECAS
Jan 11, 2023 - ECAS status updated to 'Complete'
Jan 13, 2023 - Received PR card in mailbox
