My Indian passport is up for renewal and since my PR card has expired they are asking for a "CIC email" for accepting it for renewal.
Does someone know if the "CIC email" requested is the email confirming that the PR card request has been received as i just got that in my email today morning. Or is there some other email that comes after this?
I am not able to get my Indian passport renewed due to this CIC email request from BLS. Please advise!
I've never received AOR for my first time application. Successfully linked the application to my account, got an ghost update a couple of weeks ago.
When did you land in Canada for the first time as a PR? Date?
Hi All,
Please help, I applied for PR Card renewal on 2nd August. My current PR card is expiring in mid April 2023. I need to travel abroad due to family's medical procedure. Can I travel abroad while my PR renewal application is in process? (I should be back before the expiry of my current PR Card)
Thanks for your help!

I think once the new PR card has been shipped, the old PR card will become invalid so you will not be able to travel with the old card unless you return before the new PR card is approved/shipped. However, you can request for urgent processing of PR renewal for valid reasons like serious illness of a family member if you are planning to travel within next 3 months. The alternative option is to travel now and then apply for a PRTD document from abroad before you return.

IRCC website says current processing time of 66 days, did anyone receive the renewed card in 66 days?
I've heard they have backlog and even one of the printshop is not functional.
Hi Folks,
I have a question regarding filling my online PR card renewal application. My name is 'xxx yyy'. In my Indian passport:
Given name: 'xxx yyy'
Surname: blank
My Copr came as:
Family name: 'xxx yyy'
Given name: blank
And then finally in my current PR card, everything is under the Surname 'xxx yyy' and first name is blank.
My question is: while filling in my online PR card renewal application, what should I enter in First Name and Last Name fields as both are required fields and cant be kept blank. I don't want to go through the hassle of legal name change at this stage as I need to travel to India in the next 4-5 months. I just want that the new PR card wbows my name as it appears on my current PR card. So what should I enter in First Name and Last Name fields?
Thanks in advance!

My application is on its 92 days (Since AOR and Started Processing), yet nothing after the AOR
What is your timeline? (Received, AOR,Processing)

Like I said my copr has just family name, while the online PR renewal application requires both family name and first name. So my question is what should I enter in this case?

Put family name in both First name and last name plus create a letter of explanation and explain everything about your name in earlier PR cards, passport and COPR.

I submitted on 2nd August, still yet to receive AOR. IRCC is lagging a lot these days. The current processing time says 66 days.

When did IRCC receive your application?
And on which date did you receive your AOR?
Is there anyone on this forum here whose:
Application was received by IRCC in June (any date) and you have received your PR card.
Anyone?
