Hi everyone,
Read through the Instruction Guide and checklist and despite having more than 3 years in Canada, it is now a requirement to prove Residency Obligation.

I recently moved banks and closed my old accounts, so not sure if bank statements would be doable.
I'm leaning towards:
PayStub
Notice of Assessment
(maybe mortgage statements)

When submitting application online, do I really need 3 years (or more) of my PayStub? It's easy to upload 5 NoA pdfs, but I can't imagine submitting hundreds of paystub/mortgage documents.

Small update today for me. Resubmitted January 24th. Today the return reason changed from "photos are missing" to "Incomplete application". The status is still "submitted" and the view button is greyed out.

Any advice?
Hi Jeff.. iam assuming that you received your pr card.. can you please share of your had to do something extra for the 'photos missing' error?

Did you get your PR card?

My application was approved and card was mailed today.

My timeline is running a week behind yours so expecting to get it by mail also a week after you get it!

I thought you already received citizenship in 2021, is it for your dependants?

Who else is still waiting for their replacement PR card.. Please share your timeline to encourage me because it's making me depressed..

My Timeline:
I applied in July 5th 2023.
Sep 15th (2+ months after) application was returned incomplete and the agent didn't give any reason
Sep 18th I resubmitted so the 95 days counter reset
Sep 28th. It Retuned incomplete. I uploaded the new passport immediately and resubmitted. Counter was again reset to 71 days.
Oct 13th - Returned due to picture issues.
Oct 23rd - Returned, due to photo issues AGAIN - i took another photo.
Oct 25th i resubmitted (this time, 68 days counter reset). So i requested urgency. I needed to visit home this holiday with my last 7days of time off to get some mental health break. i don't have any family here

Jan 3rd - Still radio silence since then. I don't think they understand how twisted the system is. Is this a glitch in the systems process? An incompetent agent? Or I'm i overreacting? I'm a super positive person, but 've lost hope at this point. Why does this have to be this daunting?

In early Dec. we were asked to send in more docs by mail or email. Mailed on Dec. 4th and received in Windsor Dec. 7th and SFA has been done it seems with the information. Even more laughable, I check online, and we could have actually uploaded these same docs it seems but this was not indicated in the form letter sent; and now the online portal claims we have missed a Dec. 30th deadline. Absolute joke this whole process is IMHO...been well over a year since my wife originally applied and i am just about fed up here.

you should call IRCC helpline early morning.. you'll have to wait for 30-50 minutes, but someone will definitely respond you.

Thanks, i called on Jan 9th and later that afternoon, my application moved from Submitted to Status Updated/ and my PR card was sent the following day. It shows Approved. I'm now waiting for the card.

Me and my son (5 years old) need to apply for PR card renewal, but he has been in Canada only for 1 year in past five years, I have been in Canada for more than 3 years. Does he also require to meet the residency obligations?

Hello everyone, the processing time is currently showing 58 days.
Assuming this duration does not include postal time, Can anyone provide an estimate of how long it typically takes to receive the card via Canada Post after the processing is complete?

Hello guys, I need your help.
I have received photo request again on dated 26 December 2023, and same was forwarded to the concerned office very next day to Sydney,NS via courier, received on 3rd January 2024. Today, its 25th of January 2024, I have not received any response from them. Please do confirm how long would it take as I need to travel next month.

Hi, Hope you can help.. I have been going through this forum and other updates..there are few questions to clarify.

1. Once PR Renewal application is submitted online, is there anything else needs to be done.. I see few post mentioning about linking to GRC key.
2. Considering that we could submit PR Renewal online through online portal, do we get any acknowledgement, I see whoever submitted through courier mentioning they got the acknowledgement email.
3. What is AOR?
4. My current status of my application is submitted.. and processing time showed 59 days when I submitted. Does the status changes from Submitted to Processing and then to Decision made or something like that?
5. Does it makes any difference submitted PR application online versus submitted through courier?

Note: I submitted my PR Renewal application on Feb 7th 2024.

Just to provide an update.. I have received my renewed PR card today.
Submitted on 7th Feb, received on 20th Feb.

Hi, while applying online I was not able to upload my supporting documents to prove my residency anywhere. Is this an issue for anyone else? While finishing the IMM 5444 form, it asked about residency obligation which I filled some dates regarding the times I left Canada and that was about it. Should I just proceed as normal or should I apply by paper instead and include the supporting documents?

Also my PR portal can only create applications and no other functionalities, is that normal?

Hi,
I am trying to fill in PR Renewal for my kid who is 6 years old and not sure what to attach for the residency obligation document. So far I have attached Passport, PR Card, Birth Certificate. Which other documents do I need to attach? Also, shall I attach a document stating that I have filled the form and i have applied under my email id (as I have not yet got the application number in the email)? Or if there's a standard format? How should I link both of our applications?
Please advise.
