I landed on Aug 8 through Windsor Tunnel and then headed back straight to US. I had given the address of a friend in Vancouver as my address.
The customs officer mentioned that I can take a commercial transport into Canada only after I receive the PR card, but can enter from US driving in a private car any time I feel like. His statement implied that my PR card would arrive at my friend's house.
Now the problem is: The PR cards have not yet arrived.

you are just one day after us. We have landed through Niagara on Aug 7th and return to Us on the same day. We too waiting for our PR Cards to our friend's address. Please let me know if you receive PR card.

Call CIC helpline number on any working day and talk to agent. Ask for progress and do ask about the photographs- is it of right quality and what is the expected time of dispatch.
