Oh man, don't get me started . We were short in days for RO, but we have more than fulfilled that RO now, and COVID closing things did not help.

Hi,
If your card is under process, I do not think you need to submit the inquiry.
In the Web form (its online inquiry link available on IRCC website), you can submit the inquiry and seek the information regarding your application.

I contacted my MP earlier and someone is following it up for me. However, I checked the status today and finally it's sent via mail. Hopefully I can get it within this week or early next week. I've waited for over 4 months... Keep waiting and I strongly recommend you guys to contact your MP if you're in Canada. Give them some pressure. I wrote to my MP not only about my case but also my bf case - he's an outland CEC applicant and has waited for almost a year and NOTHING happened. It's really frustrating...

Just heard on my webform that my request is now approved and cards have been sent for production. Also had a GU around same timeframe.

Received a ghost update, but no response to the webform yet. No AOR as well

Renewal Application Sent : 17th April 2021
Renewal Application Received: 20th April 2021 (Based on Canada Post Tracking)

No updates from IRCC till 18th August 2021

Update on 20th August 2021 - Confirmation of PR Card renewal application for all the three applicants.

Hello, I hope someone can help me.

I have a friend who was a PR with her family back in 2006, but they went back to their home country and their PR status expired. She was able to renew her PR status this year through H&C since she's 22 years old, and she came to Canada in February. However, all she has is an expired CoPR and PR card from 2006. She applied for card renewal on March 11, 2021 and there have been no updates since then. She is not able to get a job to pay for rent and expenses since she cannot apply for a SIN number without her PR card or a valid CoPR doc since Service Canada refused her old document from 2006. I tried calling IRCC multiple times but never get through to an agent. I tried sending web forms and always get a template reply saying that it is still in process and there are delays due to covid. But she's really struggling without having her docs, she cannot get a job or move to a new apartment since she has no credit check either.

Is there any way she can accelerate the PR card renewal? It's been 6 months with 0 updates. Thank you

Be mindful right now, that due to an Election being called, the availability of the MPs is limited until the Election. Not sure how helpful they can/will be during this election time.

Oh, it's not the MP himself who contacted me, it's his assistant and he's been following up everything since the first day he contacted me. Fingers crossed. I've given him my and my bf's info so that he can run a check with IRCC for us. I hope to hear some good news soon.
