Congrats on receiving the PR cards.

We received AOR on Oct 1st and our app was received there on Jun 17th.

Mine is still showing in process while my child and wife's status shows decision made.

We are in Canada for more than 2 years now and based on that I applied for renewal as 730 days of residency obligation has been met.

Would you mind sharing that how long you stayed outside of Canada? Just want to ascertain how long it takes for straightforward vs complex cases

For us it was at max 4-5 Months outside Canada, that too was just vacations and work related travel.

Does "in person pickup" take 5 months until they let you know about it??!!!

You won't know about in person pick-ups. The only possible indication is that your status was stuck in DM for lets say 3 months and above, that might be a strong indicator that the application is selected for in person pick up. And since all offices closed their doors since March 2020, in-person pick ups have not systemically resumed. As of now only extremely limited amount of people were invited to the offices to pick them up, majority of the pick ups are still on hold.

I am in the same boat
I mailed my application, my time is above. The card should be in the mail BUT, when i logged on, they had my UK address (My address when i was applying for the PR). My PR renewal application had my correct Canadian address.

Can anybody confirm that they use the mailing address on the submitted application, not the old (original) address associated with the pr application?

In my case they used the mailing address in the application.

if I contact them through webform would I be able to know if I was selected for personal pick up?

I applied for PR renewal as an urgent basis because of job purpose. As per Canada Post the application was delivered on Oct 04. I got correspondence email on Oct 7 saying they received on Oct 07.
In email they said I can check application status by UCI. I tried many times by UCI to see the application status but was not able to see anything on ECAS.
can someone please tell me from your experience - is It gonna be urgent processing or regular? Because, my current PR expired and need valid one for job purpose.

My status changed to DM today:

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on June 7, 2021.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 24, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on September 24, 2021.

Processing took 12 days. My case was a hard one: full of travels and being spouse of a Canadian citizen.

Did you fulfill yur residency obligation???

Good for you! Was your PR renewal? Mine was received May 14, DM on Sep 9, but no update after that. It’s strange June application is processed but May is still not processed.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 31, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on August 31, 2021.
4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on September 27, 2021.

Get the card from mail box Oct 7.
