I landed April 8, and have been waiting for my PR card ever since. I am starting week 8 since landing and am not sure if I should continue to wait or call. Anyone have any idea who we are supposed to call? CIC? if so does anyone have a number to call them?
Hi Yes of course, its getting back into canada which is going to be my issue. Going across the border via driving is not an option as my family lives down in S.carolina and I am in Manitoba.
Just to update all, call the CIC if you are even a day passed the processing time listed. They will answer and they will speak to you. My card hasn't left yet and is just being created. I was advised to wait another month before seeing it but if I hadn't called to ask then who knows how long they would have really taken. I agree it should not take this long to get your PR card but alas there is nothing you can do except wait and call.
I landed at the end of March and received my PR card in the mail exactly 6 weeks later in early May. I would email the service center if you haven't received it by the 7 or 8 week.

I landed April 8 too and I'm still waiting for my PR card...I called 2 weeks ago and they told me my address was expired, i dont know how, but i gave the agent back my address and she confirmed it. After 2 weeks im still waiting for my card and i called this morning, the card was requested but it still didn't go to production!! So try and give them a call and see what they say...I hope i dont have to wait another 46 days since she confirmed my address!! Keep me updated how it goes with yours...thanks

This not an issue for Americans. You are both eTA-exempt and visa-exempt, so all you need to show the airline to fly to Canada is your American passport.
Present yourself as a visitor to the airline. Don't tell them you are a PR, as they may refuse to board you without a PR card or PRTD. You then present yourself as a PR to CBSA when you arrive in Canada.
Thanks for all the info! I finally got my card 60 days after landing. After the 45th day however I did call CIC and I believe that helped speed up the process. So happy my last item came through. Good luck to all still waiting their PR Card.
