So I need to change my PR card to reflect my married name
My passport is in my maiden name still as I need it to travel - however, can I keep my old PR Card until my new one arrives and travel on that (using the maiden name passport too of course) or do I have to send in my old card with my application?

How are you changing your name on your PR card to reflect your married name when your passport is still in your maiden name? I am just curious. I was under the impression that if you don't change your passport to reflect your married name that you can't change your PR card until that document matches. I might be mistaken here.

I will be doing my passport but at a later date.
For the pr card I read that you need to have 1 or 2 (cannot remember precisely) govt issued docs in your new name so I got my health card and driver's license changed using my marriage cert.

Done it; changed the passport a few months after the pr card name change. Used local ON documents to support the pr card change + marriage certificate.

Great stuff
Did you keep your old PR card or did you need to surrender that at time of application?
No, kept it until the new one arrived.
