Strange, seems like they are slowly moving towards a new process or atleast a notification proces.
Yesterday someone mentioned about notification of application approval while PPR was not yet received.

Oh..ok, then you will receive such emails to update you about your file status.
Normally, EE applicants won't get such email.

Have you ever come across or heard of NDVO calling applicants ( verification calls ) before issuing PPR ? I know OINP followed trend of calling few candidates before issuing OINP nomination !

Yes. Couple of people here have reported of receiving such calls. Mostly general stuff like job profile, spouse & family details etc.
Its case by case.

yes heard of 2 applicants getting a call from NDVO. Its rare and for some particular reason only.
