Soop,

LA takes one month to send your passport back. If you are in Canada it seems like Snail Mail takes 2-3 weeks. So in total you are looking at 1.5 months to get your passport back if you are in Canada. If you are in the US and you used express mail prepaid envelop you should get it back in a month.

I am in US and I got my PRV today! I got it with a validity period of 30 days though. So we are moving in early January!

hello guys, I need help with some questions. My timeline is on the left under m profile.

First of all, are there people in this forum applying from the USA that have the work permit or visa expiring soon, and still have not heard anything from CIC?

I live and work in the US on work permit and it is about to expired in January and i have not heard anything from CIC on my application yet. Please, advise me what i can do because the work permit i have is not renewable, actually its an OPT (Optional Practical Training) which you received after graduation.
I have written several messages to CIC, but it seems like they are not even checking them. No response.

My question here is, has anybody been in the same situation, or heard of anybody in the same situation that was able to resolve the issue with CIC, and How? Please, i seek desperate answer.

Hi there,

I repeat my old question again. How can I send the passports to CIC Los Angeles using USPS from Canada. USPS is only available to people in US, but how do I buy their envelops or use their service in Canada.

Did anyone from Canada recently (after Nov 20, 2012) sent their passports to CIC Los Angeles. If yes, please inform me how do you sent the passports. Did you goto Canada post or which postal outlet to send passports.

Hi soop. Today is my fifth week waiting. Base on timeline to those who are here in los angeles. We r suppose to have our passport mailed back to usbthis week. I dnt knw if they encashed the rolf nbec my money order is from usps. No way to track. I also chked my tracking number and its still not activated. Hoping ths week theybwill mail it back. Longest is nxt week. Let my timeline be a basis for thse waiting for passportbreturn frm LA who are here in LA.

I'm in LA too and I'm waiting for my PP to be returned. My status changed to DM either on friday or yesterday because last week my status was still in process.
