I still dont know whats the difference between:
"not started"
"not needed at this time"
as many post saying it has been changed from "in progress" to " not started" or to " not needed at this time"
mine since I linked my application sometime in July has always said" not needed at this time"
Yes if u click there to see the meaning it says for NOT NEEDED AT THIS TIME ( in the background check....that "not needed at this time means they havent receive any application for permanent residence???? hahahahaha that doesnt apply to everyone cause we have a file number and medials done so that menaing doesnt make sense at all.
If you are under spouse sponsorship and moved somewhere for work., yes you can update your information online thru case specific inquiry. If you will request for ppr u can send it to the nearest canadian embassy near your new locatio. Hope that helps my friend. And if you are 6 months onwards might as well gather your FBI just incase it will be requested.

Hi,
My spouse applied for my PR when I was in India. I moved to USA on work visa in April 2016. Do I need to inform NDVO that I have moved to USA. If yes, how?
When I receive PPR request, should I courier my passport to India from USA?
Also, now that I am in USA since April, do I need to provide PCC from USA also?
