I've read from some other forums that they did upfront medical. Do you think it would be a good idea to do upfront medical? Does it somehow help the processing faster?
where did you send the police certificate docs?? and what other documents were attached?? CIC has not sent me the address where i can submit those documents,

1.) How much time will it take to receive a request for medicals(MR) from the date of AOR?
2.) how much time is it going to take for a bridging work permit extension.
I am in a bit of dilemma as my work permit is expiring in July and I do not receive anything from CIC after AOR. I have applied under SINP. Submitted my file on Sept 2015 and Received AOR on Dec 2015. Since then it's already been 8 months but no update from CIC about Medical or anything else.
And the big problem is that My employer refused to help me to get my Work permit extension. he said since he already helped me in SINP he cannot help me for Work permit extension. This is because of this new Employer Portal issue. According to him he has no authority to go for this employer portal and gave me bunch of other pointless reasons to not to help me in WP extension. He allowed me to work until my work permit expires.
So now I am totally stuck as one thing is for sure that my work permit will not be extended and due to very short time left no other employer is willing to help me or give me a new job.
Moreover I have employer restriction on my nomination so I cannot even go for bridging open WP as this thing requires that your nomination has to be restriction free.
Is there any body else who is in the same situation or has heard from anyone about such situation??? What should I do?

Contact immigration consultants in your locality and depending on your profession they could help you finding clues for this situation. I know one nurse who was almost done with his Open work permit and then he got a full time permanent job through immigration consultant and applied for pr. They will charge you for their service though.
Good news Good news Good news .Though I am August 13 applicant ,I just checked the July applicants forum for PNP application and just found that they already started to get Medical call request from CIC. July 25th applicant already received Medical call.Plenty of them are updating for medical call. Hopefully we will receive by next month.Cross fingers.
