Planning to do short landing in Jan, followed by permanent one in May, but I have a toddler with me. Not sure if the weather will be suitable around these months for my kid.
Also, is it possible to bring some funds in short landing(required amout as per PR) and rest of it later? Does it incur tax to bring money after first landing?

Please consult your paediatrician, as per me the houses/ condos & malls/ outlets pretty everything except roads are temp controlled, you & all need to be completely covered in Canadian attire (Indian attire will not do) to sustain cold weather

Yes this is possible, whatever funds you declare in your PR app and show proof during landing is tax free & you can bring in one trip or multiple trips

I got my COPR.. M landing in April 2017. I need help with landing and settlement. I am planning to do soft landing, give my relatives address and then come back to india after a week and go back after 2 years. Is this fine? can i book round trip tickets?

I am a BDS from India and going to apply in express entry. I am confused regarding the work experience. I have worked with clinics where the salary is cash in hand and there are no pay stubs or anything. Kindly guide on this issue.
1. Apply without payslips
2. Arrange payslips somehow that mentions cash payment
3. If you deposited cash in bank accounts, you can take statements and highlight deposited amount for last few months as Salary.
