In same page it says:
"Medical certificates for applicants who pass a medical examination in or outside Canada are valid for twelve months from the date of the last medical assessment of an applicant’s file by a medical officer and/or delegated staff. "
I'm confused. Which one is correct?
12 months since the results were reviewed. Not the date of taking of the exam. My meds were reviewed in November 2019 (meaning I passed the medical exam). Then in June 2020 it was reviewed again which was an extension of medial exam which is now valid until June 2021. That was the way IRCC extended my meds.
Generally, they might extend the validity or request for a re-med. They will not issue a PPR if the meds are expiring in almost a month's time. Wait for IRCC's directions to decide your next course of action..

Yeah. Anyway - the way things are going, I am quite certain we wont be receiving our PPR anytime soon.
I guess, if we receive it later on, the medicals automatically gets extended by a year? or they might ask us to take the medicals again. We did not have any health issues though.
I was also asked to re-do medicals a week ago. No PPR yet though. I believe they are doing it to move files forward as much as possible. Once they allow people in they will start sending PPR.
VO Mexico.
They will ensure such a scenario is not realized given the pandemic-related issues everyone is facing. I agree there could be a delay but just ensure you track the application status based on your GCMS notes to ensure you have passed eligibility, background check, and security.
